LIMP BIZKIT Mixing 'Bipolar' In New York City
February 20, 2003LIMP BIZKIT are currently mixing their new album, "Bipolar", at Soundtrack studios in New York City with Andy Wallace (KORN, DISTURBED, NIRVANA, SEPULTURA).
"We've finished the album and I've just arrived in [New York] to mix with Andy Wallace," Durst wrote on the band's official web site. "The name of the album is 'Bipolar' and will hit your asses on May 13."
Two days ago, Durst posted a "raw, unmixed, and straight from the studio" version of one of the band's new songs, "Just Drop Dead" on the site. The song was heavily rumored to have been written about Durst's former flame, pop singer Britney Spears, but according to Fred, that's not necessarily the case.
"I wrote the song about someone who just shouldn't have crossed the line. Someone who thinks they can just get away with anything regardless of how bad the karma will be," Durst wrote. "Someone who lives there [sic] life fooling everyone. Not me, Not this time. And there it is."
"We've all been in situations where we've just had enough," he added. "Well I'm fed up with alot [sic] of shit and 'Bipolar' is the way I have chosen to vent and like it or not its coming." Durst goes on to say that the album's as-yet-undisclosed first single will be posted on the site "as soon as Andy mixes it."
